Raigad is a historic fort and hill station located in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It holds immense significance in Maratha history as the capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s empire. Perched atop a hill at an altitude of 2,700 feet, Raigad is both a heritage site and a popular trekking and tourism destination.

🥾 Trekking to Raigad:

  • The trek is moderate and involves climbing around 1,400–1,500 steps
  • Takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours
  • Best attempted early morning or late afternoon

  • Monsoon (June to September) – Lush greenery and waterfalls (but slippery trails)
